Most fun things from these past two weeks in Taipei:
- Teaching Mum computer stuff and watching her become increasingly obsessed with her new Canon camera
- Playing cards with my parents and laughing our faces off
- Chatting with Grandma and seeing her make faces and smile
- Eating dozens of delicious things, like dumplings and more from Din Tai Fung, and my favorite french fries with honey mustard sauce from a booth at Warner Cinemas. The booth was previously called "States" and had an Americana theme, but has changed its name to "Ireland's Potato". Because it's called "Ireland's Potato" now, we (Helen and I) say its name in an Irish accent. Every single time.
- Seeing the idiotic Yahoo Shabu Shabu restaurant a few storefronts down from my building close and be replaced by a 7-11. (I'm not a fan of Yahoo Shabu Shabu.)
- Getting my hair cut by my long-time hairstylist, McQueen, at Vis-a-Vis salon
Things that were not so fun:
- Elbowing my grandma in the face as we were getting a photo taken
Miscellaneous photo time.

Go the Insalata Rossa and comfy booths at Macaroni Grill! The only drawback is that I regularly observe cringe-inducing blind dates there.
