Here are my nephews, Adrian and Logan, watching Sesame Street or something on an iPhone while the rest of us ate Thanksgiving dinner. They weren't allowed to watch TV when they were younger (the twins are four now and Logan is 20 months) so if you put something in front of them, they are completely hypnotized. Like totally transfixed. As if they're not even in the room anymore. Like they're Frodo and they've just put on The Ring. It's really an effective tool.
